In Milan, design is technological

The Salone del Mobile is increasingly becoming a pretext to transform Milan into the capital of innovation. At a time when design goes hand in hand with technology, the Design Week (from 17 to 22 April) is the opportunity to observe all this which is “new” not only in furnishings, but also in other worlds. Design thus becomes a transversal concept that moves from demotics to automotive.

Sony, for example, organized Hidden Senses, an exhibition in 5 thematic areas to explore new ways of to interact with people, products and spaces ""to create a perceptive experience"" which enhances the sound, as well as such as the display of information through the furnishings and lighting of the environment.

In the Fuorisalone circuit, in particular within the Lambrate Design District, the young designers of Leave The Sign stand out with a series of induction lamps capable of interacting with a mobile app that manages their main features directly from smartphones and tablets.

The world of cars is also increasingly exploring new contaminations especially through a vision of mobility understood in a broad sense. Smart mobility, smart cities and smart living are the topics of three meetings organized by the electricity supplier Edison. Another example can be being the Leaving room prototype: a reflection on mobility of the near future in which the vehicle becomes a place to live on the move and, conversely, the lifestyle is transformed for those who move while living. The designed is signed by teachers of the New Academy of Fine Arts of Milan (Naba).

Mobility sustainableis was the central theme of ""The age of experience"" during which leading automotive figures took turns: Laurens van den Acker, Senior Vice President, Corporate Design Renault; Daniela Bohlinger, Head of Group Design Sustainability Strategy BMW Group and Anne Asensio, Vice President of Design experience Dassault Systèmes.

Design and technology cannot ignore each other and consequently we will see them more and more coexist in all sectors.
