Discovering Silicon Beach

Technology rhymes with Silicon Valley. &` in San Francisco, California, where the major microcircuit design and production companies were founded and today make innovation their main mission. Apple, Google, Amazon, Netflix, Samsung, Tesla Motors are just some of the brands that are based in Silicon Valley.

In California, however, there is a second Silicon Valley that is starting to make its voice heard: Los Angeles. So like San Francisco, a city until now known mainly for Hollywood films, it is starting to make its way by positioning itself among the capitals of technological innovation. If the University of Palo Alto brought the most great minds in the San Francisco area, as well as USC is also doing it which is has been identified as a “startup garden” for Los Angeles. 

Events such as the Future Festival, which is increasingly registering participations, demonstrate how the approach towards this city has changed which is more and more seen as the homeland of innovation, so much so that it is defined as Silicon Beach.

` this is where Snapchat, Tinder, The Honest Company, SpaceX, HyperLoop, Factual, ZestFinance, Thrive Market, Ring, Oculus, SGN and many others were born. There’ also an Italian company, Pirelli, which has decided to invest in Silicon Beach with various innovative projects.
