How to determine ranking factors

We know it by now: Google's ranking factors are constantly changing. When we talk about ranking we are referring to the relevance of web pages in the context of a particular search. If we perform a search on Google, what determines the position of our result?

There are different schools of thought, both in defining what they are and in evaluating the relevance of each factor.

To enter more specifically, the ranking factors concern both user behavior such as visits and time spent on the site, therefore the pages visited for each session and the bounce rate, as well as measures relating to the programming, drafting and completeness of the contents. The factors in this second category are, for example, links from referring domains, content length, site security, video on the page and, last but not least, keywords. These must be present in the text, in the title, in the meta and will also be evaluated based on their density.

There are different schools of thought regarding their relevance, but the most widespread is the one that maintains that relevance is given by the quantity of visits to the website…but the number of visits to the website is not perhaps given by all the previous factors?

Our approach towards SEO therefore is very simple and is based on the balance of the factors and the type of site in question. Let's think of a news website, obviously it cannot be compared, in terms of quantity of text to an e-commerce site, the same goes for videos which are usually not present on online shops.
