The digital audience in Italy

The mobile device market is continuously growing, both from the point of view of sales of consumer electronics products such as smartphones and tablets, and from the ever-increasing number of apps that are being developed. Italy has become always diverged from global data, but from recent research by ComScore, presented through an interesting infographic, our country also demonstrates that it is keeping up with its overseas colleagues.

The first data detected is the move from fixed devices to mobile devices. This migration sees a decrease of up to 22% in desktop access. Those who connect online do so in 70% of cases exclusively from mobile, that is, without going through from Desktop. The propensity towards mobile is also seen in the time spent on mobile devices: 64% of accesses take place from smartphones and tablets, while 36% from computers. Furthermore, those who prefer to consume online content when they are on the move, it does so via app in 90% of cases.

As far as age groups are concerned, it is the Millennials who spend the most connected time, up to 88 minutes per month per visitor.

Good news also for those who invest in advertising online. Web marketing allows you to hit specific targets at the right time, so much so that more 33% of mobile users admit that they remember seeing an advertisement on your device.
