The news from the Mobile World Congress

From February 27th to March 2nd, Barcelona was transformed into the capital of mobile technologies.

At the Mobile World Congress there are many new features presented on the furniture market. For this edition the leitmotif is “The Next Element” and large corporations they are developing devices that evolve in this direction.

The next element is certainly the idea of ​​being able to have more and more objects connected to each other without the use of wires. The Internet of Things is the demonstration: the internet of things allows objects to be connected to each other and to devices via Wi-Fi. These objects can communicate with each other via an app that manages the activities even remotely.

The use of apps is, consequently, another fundamental element. Many interesting apps were presented at the Mobile World Congress, from the one that queues for you to the one based on artificial intelligence, a destination for investments by the main companies hi-tech,  also in the smartphone sector. Google, for example, has announced the availability of of the Mountain View Assistant on smartphones running Android Nougat 7.0 and Android Marshmallow 6.0. Already active on Pixel, Home, Google Allo and Android Wear, this voice assistant is capable of answering many of the user's questions, even the most complex ones. newspapers, such as "Do I need an umbrella today?" (trying, in this case, the weather forecast), but also to arrange for the lights to be turned on in a house equipped with a home automation system. That of voice assistants, however, is not obviously an exclusive field of Google: Amazon's Alexa, Microsoft with its Cortana and above all Apple with Siri are also in the mix.

All these possibilities go hand in hand with a development of networks: we will go more and more towards an optimization of the 5G network.

In addition to the great releases, there is no shortage of accessories, more or less useful, such as viewers equipped with a connected pointer, portable projectors for mobile devices, Bluetooth to attach to the key ring, action cameras that record up to 4K or the electric toothbrush connected to an app.
