How do you choose a digital assistant?

The digital marketing agency Stone Temple Consulting attempted to give an answer by comparing the best digital assistants for smartphones and living rooms currently on the scene, namely those of Google, Apple, Microsoft and Amazon.

The research consists of asking almost 5,000 requests to the devices and taking two types of results into consideration: on the one hand the percentage of questions understood and that of the attempted answers; on the other hand, how many of the requests received correctly were fulfilled correctly.

In this test Google Assistant outperformed all its competitors: it was able to answer over 90% of the questions, with an accuracy rate just under 80%. &` interesting to note though that these numbers decrease when you switch from Google Assistant on your phone to Google Home. For Google Home, the study revealed that it is I was only able to answer 85% of the questions, with an accuracy rate of around 65%. Google Assistant has earned first place. Cortana came second, followed by Alexa, able to answer over 80% of the questions asked. In last place Siri.

ROAST also conducted rather interesting research, which however concerns exclusively Google Assistant. Asking 10,000 questions is was able to define the topics to which Google Assistant responds most quickly and precision. In 45% of cases, Google Assistant responds correctly, especially when it comes to questions related to transport, technology and fashion.
